About the Founder
Hello, I’m Niya Graham, founder of ForevaBlack, a platform dedicated to promoting positivity, mental health awareness, and self-love within the African American community. My passion for helping others has always been a part of me, and over time, I realized I wanted to focus on supporting people who look like me. Through ForevaBlack, I create a space for honest conversations about body image, mental wellness, faith, and real-life experiences.
I am 23 years old and a graduate of Coastal Carolina University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on mental health advocacy and a minor in communication. My goal is to become a children’s therapist, and while I am still exploring the specific age group and focus, I am committed to making a positive impact in young lives.
Faith is central to my journey, and I hope to share how my relationship with God has shaped me and others. This blog was born out of love and a desire to create a space where African Americans can feel seen, heard, and valued. Our community often faces pressures to appear “strong” at all times, and I want ForevaBlack to be a space where vulnerability is welcomed, stigmas around mental health are broken, and every individual’s beauty and worth are celebrated.
Beyond writing and advocacy, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and relaxing—simple joys that keep me grounded. I invite you to join me on this journey: explore the blog, connect on social media, and reach out if you ever need advice or a listening ear. Together, we can uplift one another and nurture our well-being through self-care, spiritual growth, and positive affirmations.
Thank you for visiting ForevaBlack—I’m so glad you’re here.
