A quote that inspired this blog post is “old keys won’t open new doors.” In the current stage of my life, I can no longer afford to move the way I once did. I can no longer do the things that I used to do. I’m trying to transition into bigger and better opportunities, and old habits and old things cannot come through those doors with us.
Have you ever wondered how an old key can’t turn the door if the locks have been changed? Exactly. When locks change, the keys have to change as well. You can’t change one thing and leave the other half of it the same. It requires change.
God locked you out on purpose. You’ve probably been asking God to change you or to change your situation, so now you’re locked out. You’re trying your hardest to turn the key into that same door, but you no longer can because it’s a new key. If you want to get inside that new door, you have to change the outside; which is the key.
You know, when you make a new key for a new lock the key has to go through a cutting process and it takes a while for it to be transformed into something different. It’s no different than us, we have to go through a process into changing but we have to really want it.
Any time a person really wants to change their key, they go to the place where you can get this process done… you hand the key over to this machine and you wait for the brand new. It’s no different with God; we have to go through Him and wait on this change, but we have to really want it.
Ephesians 4:22-24 NIV says “You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
We have to step out of our old and go into our new, it’s time for change. If you’re coming out of every season and you’re the same, you didn’t do the work and you’re stagnant. Who wants to be stuck? Allow God to change you, and that’s not to say you’re a bad person but the levels that you’re trying to reach… you can no longer stay in those old habits, around and in those old environments.
I just want to spread some love and encouragement. Change is much harder than people would like to believe, but you have to want it for yourself. I’m praying God does a supernatural change in you, and that you continue to change this world with your love and brightness. You’re meant to take up space, and do all the things He has designed for you.
