It Starts with You: Be Real

It’s been a long two weeks my ForevaBlack family, so let’s get straight into it. You ever thought that everyone else around you are always the issue? Yeah, me too. But let me tell you something which is called the truth, sometimes you’re the issue. Yes, I said it… YOU. Sometimes the situations we find ourselves in aren’t someone else’s fault, it can be us as well. We choose chaos over peace and wonder why we’re not happy. We ignore the red flags, we ignore God’s still voice when He tells us something isn’t for us… sometimes we will try to bargain with God, to see if we can stay in a place that was never meant for us. We entertain what we prayed to God to be protected from.

How can you tell God “Please don’t let the weapon prosper” but we’re the ones who allowed them to form… see how that doesn’t make sense? We give the enemy the blueprint on how to interfere in our world, we invite him in sometimes… we gave him access, how else would chaos enter your space?

It's easier to blame everyone else, but truthfully… we are our own problem. We stand in the way of our breakthroughs or the paths that lead to peace. This isn’t coming from a place of condemnation but from pure love; someone who loves you would never be a yes-man and just tell you everything you want to hear. Instead, they will want to tell you what you NEED to hear.

I have two scriptures that aligns perfectly with this message:

Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.”

Proverbs 26:11 “As a dog returns to its vomit, so fools repeat their folly.” It’s a harsh truth but it’s real, when we keep returning to the same bad cycles and dysfunction, we are choosing bondage over freedom.

I’ll leave you with this question; what do you need to be real with yourself about? Be honest with yourself, I promise it is so worth it. I want to see us do better, it starts within though. Until you take accountability and be real about everything, peace can’t come… TRUE peace. I love you all, and I hope this sparks the light back in you. Talk to you again next week!
