Wait... That's My Name!

Hey ForevaBlack family—today's post was inspired by a friend. In our conversation, I felt as though God gave me a beautiful message to post and encourage someone. Around 10 PM last night, I was scrolling on Instagram and ran across a girl I met at Coastal Carolina, and she posted how she made the Dean’s list. And guess whose name was right up under it? Mine... there was my name on the Dean’s list. When I told my friend how I found out, she says to me “See how God works, He showed you something you weren’t even looking for.” And instantly, the Holy Spirit said you should write about this, there is a message in this. 

The beautiful message in this is that God has placed our names in rooms that we haven’t walked in yet, our names are on lists that we weren’t aware of. He’s whispering our names in conversations where we aren’t present – but yet, we’re chosen. God is already working behind the scenes and preparing so many things for us. Understand that your pain is not in vain, your suffering is always working for your good. God is placing your name on someone’s heart right now; He is already working it all out.  

We often assume that if we don’t see our crops as soon as we plant the seeds, that it isn’t growing. You have to be patient with your harvest; a beautiful harvest isn’t an overnight process. It is a constant process, that takes a lot of time and pruning. Stay faithful and stay grounded. For example, in the Bible, Mephibosheth was living in hiding and many forgot about him – but because of a covenant, the king David sent for him calling him by name. Even you feel forgotten or unseen, God is placing your name on someone mind... places with royalty and GRACE.  

So, if you are someone who has felt discouraged or trying to hold onto your faith while waiting to see the produce of your harvest, hold on a little while longer! God sees you; He has already gone before you. God hasn’t missed your name. He is just preparing the right moment for you to see it. I love you my beautiful ForevaBlack family, until next time.
