Confusion vs. Connection

So often, we get wrapped up in situations, places, and people—and they will always produce one of two things: confusion and chaos, or connection and clarity.

As growing people, we have to take an honest look at the circles we’re in and the environments we allow ourselves to stay in. Ask yourself: Is this confusing me, or is this a connection? Anything that brings confusion is not God. God is not—and never will be—the author of confusion. But anything that brings connection and clarity, God is in it. God gives clarity in His will and in His presence; it’s up to us whether or not we choose to listen.

Confusion and chaos often come wrapped in options that seem fun or beneficial on the surface, but leave you mentally, emotionally, or spiritually drained. For example, you may be at a job where the pay is great, but it’s costing you your peace. Or you may be in a relationship that looks good from the outside, but on the inside it leaves you questioning, unsettled, and filled with chaos. If something constantly leaves you second-guessing, anxious, or unsettled, that’s not alignment—that’s confusion.

On the other hand, God places us in connections that bring clarity. God first connected us to Jesus, and through that connection we gain clarity about who God is and how He calls us to live. There’s no confusion about who Jesus is to us—He is our Savior. He died so that we could be free. That’s clarity. That’s connection.

The same is true with the people God places in our lives. Godly connections bear fruit. They bring clarity through trust, accountability, encouragement, and support during hard seasons. A true connection doesn’t drain you—it strengthens you.

Confusion, however, attacks the mind. It causes double-mindedness. It makes you question what God already confirmed and keeps you stuck in indecision. Connection brings peace, even when the path isn’t fully clear. Confusion is loud. Connection is steady.

So again, ask yourself: Is this producing confusion—or is it producing connection? Because God doesn’t lead us through chaos. He leads us through clarity. Peace is not a bonus. It’s confirmation.

Scriptures:

1 Corinthians 14:33 KJV- “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”

James 1:6-8 - “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.”

I live my life by staying away from confusion and ignorance. If it doesn’t bring peace I stay away. Love you!
