Give Yourself Grace

We can be so hard on ourselves while navigating through life. Life is already difficult, yet we constantly feel like we have to be perfect. But the truth is—there is no such thing as perfection. No human on this earth is perfect.

I’m 23, and at times I feel like I should be much further along than I am. But I have to step back into reality and remind myself that everything takes time.

When was the last time you gave yourself grace?
Why do you beat yourself up when you know you’re showing up as the best version of yourself that you can be right now?

You may feel like you’re lacking in being there for everyone else, but you’re showing up for yourself every single day—even when your energy is low.
You may be behind on a bill, but your lights are still on and there’s food on your table.
You may be struggling in a class, but you’re battling mentally and still trying your best to succeed.

Show yourself grace.

You may feel like you’re barely hanging on, but you’re still getting up and giving life your all—whatever that looks like for you. And that matters. You’re being so hard on yourself, while some people choose not to try at all.

Even God shows us grace—especially in moments when we don’t deserve it. So why can’t we extend that same grace to ourselves?

Give yourself grace. Continue to pray. Continue to work hard each day that God allows you to wake up.

Everyone is trying to keep their head above water—mentally, financially, or spiritually. Our lives may look different, but in one way or another, we all face struggles.

I want to leave you with this scripture:

Hebrews 4:16 —
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

I love you all so much.
Remember to receive that grace, and just strive to be better each day.

Trouble doesn’t last always.
