Covered or Contaminated?

Are you being covered or contaminated family? The definition to cover is to put something on top of or in front of (something), especially in order to protect it; to be contaminated it means to be infected by something through contact or association. You know God has told us to be mindful of the company we keep in a few verses, but I’ll share these two: 

1 Corinthians 15:33 “Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character" and Proverbs 13:20 “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.” Being with the wrong crowd can bring harm to us: whether mentally, spiritually, or physically. We should walk with people that aligns with our values, morals, and just equally yoked. God has warned us throughout His world, that everyone doesn’t deserve a seat at our table.  

Unclean spirits in others can get attached to you, things like envy, jealousy, and comparison. Why would you want to be surrounded by people who are carrying things that can destroy your peace? It’s so dangerous having people around you who are contaminated, just being associated or in proximity of that contact isn’t safe. Let’s talk about the time Jesus was around contamination, but He caught it because of his discernment: Judas was one of the 12 disciples, he was so close, but he still wasn’t for Jesus. Just because they appear to be walking with you, doesn’t mean they are meant to be around you. But even though others may try to or do contaminate you, still wash their feet; just like Jesus did to Judas. Even after Jesus knew Judas was a betrayer, He still showed kindness and maturity.  

Being attached to the wrong people can invite chaos, spiritual warfare, anxiety, and drain your spirit. It can mess you up mentally, spiritually and physically. Jealousy can turn into death, their demons can start attacking you mentally, there are so many things the wrong thing can bring. But God will protect you if you just listen, discernment is everything. Discernments help you know who is in your inner circle but NOT in your circle, who is listening to you but really just monitoring, the signs are always there... don’t ignore it. But being around the right people blessings can come, life can blossom, it can bring so much generational wealth (true peace and eternal life). 

I pray on today you ask God, is my company covering or contaminating me? Ask God to show you. I love you all, and God loves you more. Be mindful of the company you keep, it could hurt you or help you... you choose. Talk to you next Thursday :)
